Locals Helping Locals

Is What We Do!

When Hurricane Matthew devastated our community and neighbors needed help faster than government assistance could arrive. A small group of locals came together, not as professionals or policymakers, but as regular people who simply couldn’t stand by while families were struggling. What started as a few volunteers with big hearts turned into a movement of “locals helping locals” and that mission still drives everything we do today.

We are a laid-back, boots-on-the-ground nonprofit committed to supporting individuals and families right here in our own community. Whether someone needs food, emergency supplies, school support, or help getting through a tough season, we step in with practical resources, compassion, and zero judgment.
